Can OTT Tip the Viewership Scale … In Broadcast TV’s Favor?


The streaming wars aren’t just about the battle between OTT platforms. The online video market as a whole is working “to put the nail in the coffin of broadcast TV,” declares Limelight Networks in a just-released State of Online Video report that purports to reveal that over-the-top video delivery vehicles are making headway.

Is this report yet another biased look at digital TV, or does it bring to light many of the challenges broadcast TV faces and perhaps chooses to ignore?
