Greater Media announced veteran award winning Magic 106.7 Personality and APD Candy O’Terry has been promoted to morning show duties from 5:30am- 10am on Morning MAGIC with Mike Addams on WMJX-FM in Boston. She will officially begin her new role on 3/7.

O’Terry, who joined WMJX-FM in 1990 as a secretary to the Program Director, worked her way up the ranks to become the APD and afternoon drive Co-Host with Dan Justin. In her new role co-hosting morning drive, the radio veteran will relinquish her APD and afternoon drive duties, but will continue to be heard on Sunday mornings from 6am -10am as host of the station’s nationally acclaimed and award winning program, “Exceptional Women.”

“I think I had a dream about this when I first got started in radio and now it’s coming true,” said O’Terry. “I’m so grateful to Peter Smyth and Greater Media for growing me over the last 22 years and to Rob Williams and Cadillac for recognizing my on-air talent. Co-hosting morning drive on the station I love with a legend like Mike Addams? That’s the icing on the cake. Now…if I could just get used to that 3:30AM wake-up call, I’ll be all set!”

“Candy has played an instrumental role in Magic’s success over the years, and she has worked hard to earn this much deserved opportunity,” said Greater Media Boston Director of Programming Cadillac Jack. “Both through the genuine connections she has made with our listeners, and her natural ability to be a premiere ambassador for the radio station, I know Candy’s deep passion for the Magic brand will continue to benefit us greatly in mornings with Mike Adams, as we continue to evolve and grow our product for our very large and loyal listener base in Boston.”
