Carr Talk Buzzes Around The Capital Beltway

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Forget Seth Meyers or Stephen Colbert. The late night chatter among politicos and wonks from Gaithersburg to Fredericksburg and across Capitol Hill was all about Brendan Carr. Unless something highly unusual transpires, the current General Counsel of the FCC is all but set to become the next Republican Commissioner.

As RBR+TVBR reported late Wednesday in a Breaking News alert shared via social media and by e-mail to subscribers, President Trump announced after hours that he intends to nominate Carr to the FCC. His nomination comes after the president said he intends to nominate Jessica Rosenworcel for the open Democratic seat—marking her return to the Commission after unwittingly becoming a political pawn amid Senate infighting between Republicans and Democrats.
