Casey’s New World Revolves Around ENCO

For the last 20 years, John Casey was known among radio broadcasting engineers and technology specialists as the publisher of Radio World. Most recently, he held the title of Group Publisher of the Media, Entertainment and Technology sector at Future plc — a role he earned immediately following the purchase of all NewBay Media trade publications and business magazines.

It turns out that Casey’s future isn’t involving Future.

But, Casey will be very much involved with the radio industry, as well as TV and commercial AV systems.

That’s thanks to his new role as Director of Sales at ENCO, a specialist in automated workflow and instant playout tools.

Casey reports directly to ENCO President Ken Frommert, and will focus specifically on domestic business development across new customers and existing accounts.

Before joining Radio World in 1998, Casey held key sales and marketing roles at Denon Electronics and later Telos Systems, where he served as VP Sales and Marketing.

“While maintaining growth and stability areas will be a key focus, what’s most exciting to me is working with customers across new growth areas for the company,” Casey said. “This includes television to a degree as MOM and enCaption continue to evolve and deliver new benefits to broadcasters, but raising ENCO’s visibility in commercial AV and other emerging markets will be an exciting initiative that I am excited to help lead. Their A.I. and software-driven solutions have a clear value proposition across all of these markets and related verticals.”
