Beasley Media Group's recently launched eSports division has selected its first VP of Strategic Partnerships. In doing so, the publicly traded radio broadcasting company seeking to branch out beyond its core assets has lured the founder and CEO of Go Media Detroit, a digital media ad agency in the Motor City.

Mike Cavender, its Executive Director, will retire at the end of September 2017.

She began her career in 1997 as an assistant assignment editor at WPXI-11, Cox Media Group's NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh.  Now, after some time in the South, she's coming back to the Keystone State to serve as President/GM of a TEGNA ABC affiliate.

The world has lost "a wunderkind of the media advertising industry as soon as he entered it over 30 years ago." Michael Lolito, the founder and CEO of Media IQ (today known as MiQ), died on Monday after a prolonged battle with lymphoma. He was 57 years old.

The EVP/CFO of Univision Communications until his March 2018 departure has just accepted John Abbot's old job. He had been at Univision for nearly three years, following a 22-year run at Goldman Sachs, where he was a managing director.

A 22-year Scripps vet is earning the promotion, rising from VP of People and Culture, a role in which she was responsible for leading teams "that directly impact the employee experience, from strategy and implementation of organizational effectiveness to talent management and culture and development initiatives enterprise-wide."

The NABOB & Power of Urban Radio Conference is the only media conference wholly dedicated to the growth of Black-owned media, broadcast radio, broadcast television, digital publishing, and media sales professionals. The three-day event brings together Black broadcast media owners, senior advertising and marketing executives, local sales management, leading on-air talent, policy leadership, entrepreneurs, cultural creatives, and corporate executives.

A trio of promotions have transpired at FOX News Media, and all of the moves reflect the unit's digital leadership team. In particular, there's a new Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, while FOX Nation and FOX News Digital each get new leaders.

She most recently was marketing sales manager for Sinclair’s KUTV-2 in Salt Lake City. Now, she’s heading back to Idaho to head up the company’s two television stations in the state’s biggest market.
