For much of the 1980s, WKHI was a formidable Top 40 station on the Delmarva Peninsula. It disappeared in 1993 but wasn't forgotten by an operator that brought back those call letters on Jan. 30, 2019, to a Class A facility at 94.9 MHz. Branding that matched the old WKHI was used, along with a Classic Hits format. It didn't work. Now, this new WKHI is being sold.

In 2016, a possible Houston market move-in was the subject of a RadioDiscussions.com thread. An owner with a testy history with the FCC, Roy Henderson, was mentioned. Now, this Class C3 facility far to the west of Katy and the nation's sixth-largest radio market is being sold to a non-secular entity serving Latinos. According to Pew Research Center tabulations of the 2014 American Community Survey, Arkansas is home to nearly 205,500 Hispanics, representing 6.9% of the state's population. This could explain why a husband-and-wife who own a regional Mexican station in Little Rock has just acquired a News/Talk AM in Hot Springs, Ark. In Hollywood, Fla., sits a little-known broadcast TV station owner that, until now, has owned 20 LPTV facilities across Washington, South Dakota, Oregon, North Dakota, and Colorado, and in the city of Marquette, Mich. The company that has just purchased these stations is very widely known: It's the Philip Falcone-led HC2 Station Group.

In Salisbury, Md., a Class D facility with 1kw daytime and just 28 watts at night from 1 tower is being sold. If the call letters sound familiar, it's because an FM that shares this call sign was sold in an unrelated transaction just four months ago.
