Nearly six years ago, Zoe Communications acquired a group of radio stations from Red Rock Radio Corp. Now, a spin is being consummated.

It has just 250 watts of power and uses a tower atop a hill in Shelley, Idaho, but that's plenty of output to cover all of Idaho Falls for this FM translator. As such, it has value to Sandhill Media Group, which has just filed paperwork with the Commission seeking approval of a deal to buy it from a non-profit broadcast ministry.

If you've been under the impression that many of the media transactions seeking regulatory approval of late involve religious, non-commercial broadcasters, you now have two more deals involving radio non-comm operators to add to your list. One of the deals is in Cleveland.

The owner/operator of conservative News/Talk radio stations in the Mid-Atlantic region has reached an agreement that brings two more AMs, and their respective FM translators, under his ownership.

In June 2022, RBR+TVBR reported on the acquisition of three FM radio stations serving Elko, Nev., by an individual who enjoyed a 19-year stint as a production director and “Arrow 93.1” air talent at KCBS-FM in L.A., today “JACK FM.” Now, Rich Hudson and his Global One Media, which paid $1 million for the trio, have a crosstown competitor with a new owner, pending FCC approval.

His Word Broadcasting has given its word that it will move forward with the sale of a low-powered television station licensed to Eugene, Ore. The buyer is also acquiring a TV translator, from a different seller — one that wants the station HWB is spinning.

As of today, a 100kw Class C1 FM in rural Minnesota, a 1kw Class C AM sibling, and an FM translator simulcasting the AM station, are wholly owned by Border Broadcasting LP and serve towns some two hours from Winnipeg and more than 5 1/2 hours from the Twin Cities. Pending FCC approval, a change in the ownership structure will be had.

On August 7, 2020, legendary Oklahoma broadcaster J. Douglas Williams passed away. His daughter, who has held roles as SVP/Membership for the RAB and is a Radio & Records back-office alumnus, assumed the role of President of Williams' Omni Communications. Now, she's decided to sell two FMs tied to the Oklahoma operation.

Travel between Pittsburgh and Chambersburg, Pa., and you'll traverse Bedford County, home to two AMs, a pair of FMs and two FM translators offering News/Talk, Hot Adult Contemporary, Adult Standards and "B-Rock" to local listeners. The stations are family owned and operated. Now, one brother is relinquishing his shares in the company.

It's a hip town between Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., that was Georgia's state capital for a brief time during the Civil War. It's the home of a Class A FM that in recent times has been branded as the "Star Station." What's next for this facility will be up to a new owner, pending FCC approval.

A broadcast radio company headed by Roscoe Miller, who is based in Greenville, Ala., is agreeing to add an AM radio station and its companion FM translator serving the small city of Ozark, Ala., as well as a Class A FM covering Fort Rucker. Fred Dockins is the seller.

The Charleston, SC-based radio broadcaster plans to use the facility, presently in Georgia, for an AM in its home market.

ICA Radio Ltd. has completed its $2.48 million acquisition of a trio of FM stations serving the Corpus Christi, Texas market. Kalil & Co. was the exclusive broker for this transaction.
