CBS building “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” buzz online

The annual “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” may be a one-day event on CBS Television, but the network is using the Internet for a big buildup. Fans are being invited to visit both the CBS and Victoria’s Secret websites to vote for a new Victoria’s Secret Runway Angel selected through a public casting call.

The top 10 finalists from open casting events in New York City, Miami, Los Angeles and Chicago are now in videos posted on the websites, and Beginning Monday, November 9th at 3:00 pm ET, the public will have the opportunity to vote for which contestant will advance and ultimately become the winner and walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, airing Tuesday, December 1st, 10:00-11:00 pm ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

A Victoria’s Secret panel of experts narrowed the field to 10 finalists, who were flown to New York City to take part in “Angel Boot Camp,” a series of challenges that give the contestants the chance to prove to the world that they have what it takes to be the next Runway Angel. Contestants need to show their photogenic qualities, prove their abilities as a spokesmodel, show off their red carpet star quality and radiate charisma while walking a runway in lingerie. No doubt the latter will make the competition appeal to guys as well as gals.
