CBS is going to have more new shows than “Medium” and “Rules of Engagement” to announce on Wednesday, as seven-year drama “Cold Case,” “Ghost Whisperer,” “Numbers,” freshmen Jerry Bruckheimer’s “Miami Medical” and “Accidentally on Purpose” are out. Most are from the Monday night comedy block, but the “New Adventures of Old Christine” is also reportedly toast.
Miami Medical was understandable, with the Friday at 10 p.m slot not doing so well for the network – in the 1.2 rtg. range. But Old Christine was a bit of a surprise, it has a decent following on Wednesday nights. Who knows — ABC may pick up the show from what we hear if indeed it is officially canned. Cold Case as well – ratings were decent.
