CBS Mobile has expanded its mobile applications, including TV.com and CBS Sports Mobile Football, to the growing Android platform. These apps are now available for free on Android Market.
The TV.com app allows users to search and access thousands of their favorite videos and shows anywhere in the U.S. across Wi-Fi, 3G and EDGE Networks. The TV.com app includes the following features:
• Easy Browsing: Users are able to browse through TV.com’s vast list of video clips and full episodes by feature, by show, or by channel.
• Watch and Discover: While watching video, users are also able to simultaneously browse through thumbnails of other videos without interrupting the viewing experience.
• Create a Customized “Feed”: Through the “My TV” feature, users are able to choose their favorite shows to create a custom video feed for easy access to the latest videos and episodes.
The CBS Sports Pro Football app, dedicated to CBSSports.com Fantasy Football and in-depth NFL coverage, is an essential companion for online fantasy football players. The allows sports fanatics everywhere the chance to access complete NFL coverage, including live scoreboards and game centers, with near real-time play-by-play, box scores, breaking news, and video on demand from CBS Sports.
CBS Mobile partnered with Rhythm NewMedia to develop the TV.com app and July Systems to develop the CBS Sports Mobile Football app. The apps are now available for free on Android Market on Android-powered devices.
