CBS Promotes Weiner to Lead Local Digital Media

Adam-WienerCBS has promoted Adam Weiner to executive vice president and general manager, CBS Local Digital Media. He fills the slot vacated by Ezra Kucharz, who last week announced he would become a special advisor to CBS Corporation CEO Leslie Moonves.


At CBS since 2010, Weiner has most recently been Senior Vice President, Content, Community and Operations. He’s also been executive producer of CBSNews.com, senior producer for CBS News among other roles.

In his new position, he will be responsible for overseeing the digital operations of 29 television stations and 117 stations. Weiner will work closely with CBS Interactive President and Chief Executive Officer, Jim Lanzone, tapping into the company’s online content network.

Weiner begins his new job May 9 and reports to CBS Television President Peter Dunn and CBS Radio President Andre Fernandez.
