CBS Radio News plans to simulcast the primetime three network special, Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), along with the ABC, CBS and NBC television networks, on Friday, Sept. 5 (8:00 – 9:00 PM). CBS Radio News affiliates will be able to tap into this live, commercial-free hour hosted by Katie Couric, Charles Gibson and Brian Williams and devoted entirely to funding cancer research.

CBS Radio News, which has outlets in more than 400 cities across the nation, is the only radio network scheduled to participate in SU2C. “CBS Radio News is honored to simulcast this significant event. Radio has always been a medium that gives back to the community and we hope that by airing this program we’ll help to play a role in the continuing effort to fight cancer,” said Harvey Nagler, Vice President, CBS Radio News.
