The Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball and the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League will continue to have CBS Radio’s WXYT-FM & AM, the simulcast branded “97.1 The Ticket,” as their flagship stations. The teams and CBS Radio announced multi-year broadcast deals to carry the play-by-play.

The MLB and NHL teams have overlapping ownership in the Ilitch family. The radio networks for both teams will continue with their lineup of affiliates as the broadcasts originating from WXYT continue into future years.

WXYT has been the flagship for the Tigers since 2001 and for the Red Wings since the 2000-2001 season.
