CBS Radio has hired former Obama campaign analytics lead Michael Simon.
Simon will be a senior advisor to the broadcaster for data analytics and political advocacy.
He’ll help create data-driven ad products and strategies for political campaigns and candidates.
CBS Radio President Andre Fernandez says Simon’s expertise will help the company transform user information “into more meaningful business applications.” That, in turn, will lead into “smarter programming and marketing decisions” and optimized advertising buys in the future.
Before his work in the Obama campaign and later the Administration, Simon founded data science consultancy HaystackDNA; he’ll report to Fernandez.
