CBS won Sunday in viewers and adults 25-54 behind time period-winning performances by 60 MINUTES and THE AMAZING RACE 16, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for May 2.
At 7:00 PM, 60 MINUTES was first in households (8.5/16), viewers (13.34m), adults 25-54 (3.3/10) and adults 18-49 (2.2/08). 60 MINUTES posted its best deliveries in these measures since April 11, 2010, and was the night’s top program in viewers.
At 8:00 PM, the penultimate episode of THE AMAZING RACE 16 was first in households (6.2/10), viewers (10.49m), adults 25-54 (4.1/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/09). RACE sprints to its finish line next Sunday (May 9).
At 10:00 PM, the season finale of COLD CASE was first in households (6.4/11) and viewers (10.07m), averaging a 3.1/08 in adults 18-49 and 2.2/06 in adults 18-49. Compared to its last first-run episode (on April 11, 2010), COLD CASE added +210,000 viewers (from 9.86m, +2%).
For the night, CBS was first in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.88m) and adults 25-54 (3.3/09); the Network was second in adults 18-49 (2.4/07, -0.2 behind ABC). CBS was first in viewers for the eighth consecutive week and first in adults 25-54 for the seventh time in eight weeks.
