CBS sweeps Thursday, ‘Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains’ dominated

CBS swept its eighth consecutive Thursday as SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS was again the night’s top program in key demos, THE MENTALIST was tops in viewers and CSI posted increases from the prior week, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for May 6. 


SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS was first in households (7.6/13), viewers (12.81m), adults 25-54 (5.3/16) and adults 18-49 (4.0/13).  Compared to last week, SURVIVOR was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.2/15) and added +70,000 viewers (from 12.74m).  SURVIVOR: HEROES AND VILLAINS delivered its best viewers and adults 25-54 ratings since its season premiere.  SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS was the night’s number one program in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 for the fourth consecutive week.
 
CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (8.8/14) and viewers (14.17m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (4.3/11, with ABC) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.1/09, with NBC).  Compared to last week, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was up +4% in households (from 8.5/14), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/11), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.0/09) and added +540,000 viewers (from 13.63m, +4%). 
 
THE MENTALIST was first in households (9.3/16), viewers (14.73m), adults 25-54 (4.5/12) and adults 18-49 (3.3/10).  Compared to last week, THE MENTALIST was up +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.2/10).  THE MENTALIST was the night’s number one program in viewers. 
 
For the night, CBS was first in households (8.5/15), viewers (13.90m), adults 25-54 (4.7/13) and adults 18-49 (3.5/10).  CBS swept these measures for the eighth consecutive Thursday.
