CBS wins Monday in key demos

CBS won Monday in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the seventh consecutive week, led by TWO AND A HALF MEN, the night’s #1 program in key demographics, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Oct. 31, Halloween night.


Editor’s Note:  Due to Halloween, HUT levels were down -13% from 8:00-9:00 PM and -9% at 9:30 PM in adults 18-49 compared to last week.

In San Diego, ESPN’s coverage (and a post-game show) of the San Diego Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs aired for the first two hours of prime on the CBS affiliate from 8:00-10:00PM.  Ratings for CBS are tentative and subject to change.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was first in households (6.5/11), viewers (10.70m), adults 25-54 (4.7/13), adults 18-49 (4.1/13) and adults 18-34 (3.8/14).  Compared to last week, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER added +910,000 viewers (from 9.79m, +9%). 

2 BROKE GIRLS was first in adults 25-54 (5.1/13), adults 18-49 (4.2/12), adults 18-34 (3.4/12), second in households (6.8/11) and viewers (11.14m).  2 BROKE GIRLS built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +5% in households, +9% in adults 25-54, +2% in adults 18-49 and added +440,000 viewers (+4%). 

TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in adults 25-54 (5.9/14), adults 18-49 (4.7/12), adults 18-34 (3.1/10) and second in both households (8.4/13) and viewers (13.81m).  TWO AND A HALF MEN was the night’s top broadcast in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

MIKE & MOLLY was first in adults 25-54 (5.0/11), adults 18-49 (3.8/09), second in both households (7.1/11) and viewers (11.53m). 

HAWAII FIVE-0 was tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.9/08, with ABC), adults 18-34 (1.7/05, with ABC), second in households (6.4/10), viewers (10.28m) and adults 25-54 (3.7/09). 

For the night, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (4.7/11), adults 18-49 (3.8/10), adults 18-34 (2.7/08) and second in both households (7.0/11) and viewers (11.29m).  CBS won every half-hour in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 during its comedy block for the seventh consecutive week.
