“The Amazing Race” Delivers Its Best Ratings of Its Current Edition with  Double-Digit Week-to-Week Gains in Viewers and Key Demos.


“Undercover Boss” Up in Viewers and Adults 18-49 Versus Last First-Run Episode.

“CSI: Miami” Places First at 10:00 PM in Viewers with Double-Digit Percentage Gains from Last Week.

CBS placed first on a Sunday night of reality premieres as THE AMAZING RACE, UNDERCOVER BOSS and CSI: MIAMI all posted increases in viewers and key demographics, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for March 6.

At 7:00 PM, 60 MINUTES was first in households (7.8/13), viewers (12.25m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (1.7/05, with FOX, -0.1 behind ABC). 

At 8:00 PM, THE AMAZING RACE 18 was second in households (5.5/09), viewers (9.76m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/07), outrating the premiere of “America’s Next Great Restaurant.” 

Compared to last week, THE AMAZING RACE 18 was up +28% in both households (from 4.3/07) and adults 25-54 (from 2.9/07), +29% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/05) and added +2.08m viewers (from 7.68m, +27%). 

At 9:00 PM, UNDERCOVER BOSS was second in households (6.2/10), viewers (10.92m), adults 25-54 (3.6/08) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.7/07, with FOX), outrating the first hour of the premiere of “Celebrity Apprentice.” 

Compared to the last first-run episode (Feb. 20, 2011), UNDERCOVER BOSS was up +2% in households (from 6.1/10), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.6/07) and added +230,000 viewers (from 10.69m, +2%).   

At 10:00 PM, CSI: MIAMI was first in households (6.5/11) and viewers (10.65m), and second in adults 25-54 (3.3/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07). 

Compared to the last week, CSI: MIAMI was up +25% in households (from 5.2/09), +18% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/07), +20% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/05) and added +2.41m viewers (from 8.24m, +29%).   

For the night, CBS was first in households (6.5/11) and viewers (10.90m); it was second in adults 25-54 (3.3/06) and adults 18-49 (2.4/06).
