Celebrity Guests Highlight NABLF ‘Celebration of Service to America Awards’

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The NAB Leadership Foundation has unveiled the celebrity guests who will be featured in the 2020 Celebration of Service to America Awards.


The one-hour program, accessible online and available for radio and TV stations to air starting on August 22, honors local broadcast stations from across the U.S. for “exceptional community service.”

Former Service to America Leadership Award recipients are among the featured celebrity guests, including actresses Sharon Stone and Glenn Close, and country music artist Sara Evans. Other celebrity guests include Emmy-winning actor and 2019 NAB Television Chairman’s Award recipient Sterling K. Brown and iHeartMedia syndicated radio personality and Saved by the Bell alum Mario Lopez.

Tamron Hall will host the event.

Celebrities, along with Members of Congress, will reveal the award winners and honor the vital role of local radio and television stations across the nation.

In addition to station awards, SC Johnson will receive the Corporate Leadership Award. The annual award honors a leading business outside of the broadcast industry that exemplifies an extraordinary focus on community service and corporate social responsibility. SC Johnson Chairman and CEO Fisk Johnson will accept and deliver remarks.
