For broadcasters across The Wolverine State, the home of Sparty, this summer promises to be Grand. That’s because the Michigan Association of Broadcasters will be holding its Advocacy Conference and Annual Meeting on August 13-14 at The Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, Mich.
A national historic landmark featured in Hollywood films across the decades, the Grand will now play host to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai.
Pai has confirmed that he will speak at this year’s MAB conference; an exact date and time has not yet been announced. A Welcome Reception kicks off the event on Aug. 13 following a series of board meetings.
The bulk of the activities are on Aug. 14.
Ahead of the conference, MAB is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Michigan Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Awards.
This year’s honorees will be recognized at the Advocacy Conference & Awards Banquet on August 13.
Nominations are due by April 27, and can be made here: Click here
