China recently announced it will explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in foreign diplomacy as a strategy to become the world leader in AI technology by the year 2030.

The news comes from Global Data, a data and analytics company that gives unique data, analysis and solutions to over 4,000 companies.

China will be the first country in the world to use AI for foreign policymaking, said James Spencer, medical devices analyst at GlobalData, in a GlobalData news release.
