In October 2015, Paul Cicelski joined Lerman Senter PLLC as an attorney following a nearly 11-year tenure at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLC.
Now, Cicelski is officially a Member of the firm — similar in nature to making “partner.”
Cicelski’s practice covers a full range of communications and media industry issues. Specifically, he provides strategic representation to TV and radio broadcasters, programmers, technology providers, cable and satellite companies, lenders, and a wide-variety of other communications businesses.
Cicelski regularly counsels media clients on state and federal regulatory compliance matters, including requirements affecting media sales, political advertising, contests and promotions, programming content, ownership attribution, licensing, and spectrum management issues. He also has significant litigation experience in state and federal courts and advocates for clients in Congressional legislative matters.
“We are fortunate to have someone with Paul’s wide range of experience at our firm,” said Sally Buckman, Managing Member of Lerman Senter. “In particular, Paul’s extensive engineering expertise as an attorney is well-known within the communications and media industries. He is currently leading and managing the FCC spectrum auction repack process for more than 100 television stations, and supervising all accounting, legal, and engineering matters related to the repack.”
Cicelski joined Pillsbury in January 2000. For the summer of 1998, he was an FCC intern in the office of the Chairman.
From January 1993 to July 1996, he was a legal assistant at Latham & Watkins.
Cicelski holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville.
