"Cita con Caracol" celebrates 23rd anniversary

The cultural program of Prisa Radio’s Radio Caracol 1260 AM Miami, “Cita con Caracol”, is celebrating its 23rd anniversary of spreading culture this week. The program has featured the voices of prestigious Spanish-speaking writers, from Nobel prize winners for literature: García Márquez, Octavio Paz, Camilo José Cela, VS Naipaul and Czeslaw Milosz; to writers, poets and painters: Gastón Baquero, Fernando Botero, Guillermo Cabrera Infante, Eliseo Alberto, Mario Vargas Llosa, Carlos Fuentes, Carlos Alberto Montaner, Arturo Perez Reverte, Isabel Allende, Gonzalo Rojas, Rosa Montero and Antonio Skarmeta.


In addition to this legendary weekly program, “La ventana cultural” (“Cultural Window”) is also offered daily to the listeners of Radio Caracol in South Florida, with the participation of Cordoba in Radio Caracol’s News at Noon (Monday-Friday, 12-1pm), live from anywhere in the world. Host Enrique Rocha Cordoba is a Colombian journalist, author and former diplomat.
