Class As Say: ‘Oh No You Don’t’

FCCdoorThe protection of nighttime skywave listening continues to be a big theme of radio owner and listener opinions in the FCC’s effort to help AM owners.


We’ve published opinions of both those who own Class As and smaller stations, weighing in on commission proposals to scale back skywave and critical hours protection to allow more smaller AMs to remain on the air longer.

Now a new group of those who own Class As has formed, called the “AM Radio Preservation Alliance,” and they say the proposals will not only hurt Class As, but other stations too, and won’t accomplish the agency’s goals.
