Clear Channel says Aloha to Little Rock FM

Jeanette Tully is the proprietor of Aloha Station Trust, a radio group designed to shrink, and it has gone down in size by one FM signal as the result of a deal in Little Rock AR. Signal Media is strengthening its hand with KHLR-FM, its third station in the market. Tully has been working to sell formerly grandfathered stations out of the Clear Channel stable.

Signal is headed by Philip R. Jonnson. It will pay $2M cash to acquire KHLR.

The station does well in the Arbitron rankings with a Gospel format. Licensed to Benton AR, it beams the programming over the market from just west of Little Rock, with a Class C2 license authorizing 16 kW @ 866’, beaming out on 106.7 MHz.

Signal’s other two stations are Talk KABZ-FM 103.7 and Classic Rock KKPT-FM 94.1.

The Aloha Station Trust was formed to hold and spin stations that lost their grandfathered status when Clear Channel was bought by equity investors Thomas H. Lee Partners and Bain Capital.
