The sale of stations in the Bangor and Augusta-Waterville markets and other nearby Maine communities from Clear Channel to Blueberry Broadcasting LLC is in the books, according to brokerage firm Kalil & Co. The $11M transaction sent 17 stations in all to the company headed by Louis Vitali and Bruce Biette. In a related move, Kalil acquired two of the 17 itself, as principal of the Bangor Divestiture Trust. Two stations which will not grandfather over to Blueberry, WGUY-FM Dexter ME and WFZX-FM Searsport ME, will be held by Kalil pending resale to a third party.
