CMG/Houston brings in the kids


Cox Media GroupThe Cox Media Group Houston office was filled with kids 4/24 for the annual “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.” 18 kids, ranging from 2 ½ -13 years-old, were at work with their parents.  The kids learned to record a commercial, use their voices for station on-air promotions, participate in social media postings, and see inside the studio as the DJ’s broadcast live.

The day-long activities were mixed in with a pizza party for lunch, a dance-off with the digital department, and if activities are too much, “Frozen” was shown in the afternoon. Most importantly the kids will get to see first-hand what their parent does each and every day at CMG Houston.

“This is our first year to implement the program in Houston,” said Mark Krieschen, CMG Houston VP and Market Manager.  “I can already feel the excitement in the air as the kids are making themselves right at home.”
