Those seeking to amplify their broadcast compliance monitoring systems will soon have access to a new platform that is designed to address the myriad regulatory requirements for over-the-air TV stations.
The Vision Compliance Monitoring system from Qligent is getting its official unveiling at the 2020 NAB Show in Las Vegas, which begins April 18.
Qligent’s says its All-In-One Compliance Monitoring system is tailored for local TV stations and smaller station groups tasked with the same responsibilities, including loudness and
closed caption monitoring.
The inclusion of QoS and QoE monitoring – two core Qligent competencies — are being touted as a key selling point of the new compliance monitoring system.
This allows system users to record and monitor live program streams from in-market TV stations.
Qligent will supply all software, common off-the-shelf hardware, and QoS/QoE/compliance
toolsets as “an instantly deployable system.”
Qligent Director of Sales John Shoemaker says, “We have at once reduced the expense and simplified the integration and deployment for local stations, requiring only a LAN or WAN connection, a minimal amount of rack space, and RF antenna feeds from the broadcaster and their competitive in-market stations. Once connected, Qligent will quickly complete setup through remote access, and immediately provide TV stations with 24/7 comprehensive monitoring to meet their own quality standards and all regulatory requirements – all at an unparalleled cost-to-feature ratio.”
Shoemaker anticipates future upgrades to ensure ATSC 3.0 compatibility as broadcasters
transition to Next Gen TV.
Qligent will demonstrate the Vision Compliance Monitoring System from its new South Upper location, Booth SU13313, from April 19-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
