Gabe Saporta, lead singer for the Fueled by Ramen/Atlantic recording artists Cobra Starship, has been set to serve as guest host for this weekend’s Mainstream CHR mix of Hollywood Hamilton’s Weekend Top 30. The show featuring Saporta will be broadcast 7/24 and 7/25 on nearly 75 stations coast-to-coast, and the announcement of the high-profile fill-in came from the show’s own Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton.

Cobra Starship formed in New York City in 2005 and have released three CD’s. Last summer they had a top 10 smash called “Good Girls Go Bad,” from their third CD “Hot Mess.”  They recently wrapped up the “Too Fast For Love” tour with 3 Oh! 3 and Travie McCoy.  In 2008 they were on the Vans Warped Tour. On the show Gabe is hosting, the WT30 will be backstage at the Warped Tour with interviews with We The Kings and Demi Lovato, All American Rejects and Mike Posner.  Cobra Starship are currently working on their new album in New York.

Weekend Top 30 producer Michelle Parisi commented, “When I interviewed Gabe last year, I knew I wanted him to sit in for Hollywood Hamilton. His witty personality, passion for music and natural ability to adlib were a perfect fit for the show!”

Hollywood Hamilton’s Weekend Top 30 is a three-hour weekend countdown produced in two different versions in order to serve both the Mainstream CHR and Rhythmic CHR formats.   Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton hosts the Mainstream version and Ramiro Torres hosts the Rhythmic program each week.
