Cold Stone Creamery at 2 Astor Place in Manhattan has teamed up with New York-based mobile marketing company 8coupons to offer an exclusive "OCHO LOCO" deal, giving away 8-cent ice cream scoops all day on Sunday, June 8th, 2008.
This "Crazy 8" promotion is part of 8coupons’ viral marketing campaign in which customers can send the 8-cent text message based coupon from 8coupons.com to their cell phone and redeem it by showing their phone to
the cashier. To help spread the word, 8coupons is also leveraging social networking site Facebook, through their "me coupons" Facebook application.
