It’s already advertised extensively for streaming on laptops, and now Comcast announced its Xfinity TV service now enables customers to watch many of their favorite TV shows and movies on demand directly on the iPad. It’s available as part of an updated version of the Xfinity TV app, offered for free to Xfinity TV digital customers. The app has been downloaded more than one million times since its launch in November.
Content from HBO, SHOWTIME, Starz, Encore, Cinemax and MoviePlex, TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network and BBC America can be accessed free with the swipe of a fingertip. Comcast plans to bring thousands more choices to the iPad in the weeks and months ahead.
