Comedy won Tuesday for Fox

FOXAiring a four-comedy block of RAISING HOPE, I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER, NEW GIRL and the season premiere of BREAKING IN, FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.


NEW GIRL was the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens, and FOX’s entire lineup claimed the Top 4 shows among Adults 18-34. In fact, FOX out-rated the No. 2 network among Adults 18-34 (NBC) by +67% last night.

Competition

Following a repeat Last Man Standing (1.4/4), ABC’s Cougar Town (1.5/4, -6%) posted its lowest rating ever, down-trending steadily with every episode this season. At 9p, new drama The River (1.5/5, flat) matched its lowest rating to date, and through five telecasts has yet to show a week-to-week improvement (2.4 > 1.7 > 1.7 > 1.5 > 1.5). A repeat Body Of Proof closed the night with a 0.9/2 at 10pm.

CBS ran repeats of NCIS (2.4/7), NCIS: LA (1.9/5), and Unforgettable (1.4/4).

From 8-10p, NBC’s Biggest Loser (1.9/5) delivered the lowest rating of its current cycle, down -5% from last week (2.0/5). At 10p, NBC News’ Decision 2012 posted a 1.0/3.
