Comments are due to the FCC in September on proposed changes to agency rules relating to preserving one vacant channel in the TV UHF band for use by white space devices and wireless mics.
The changes to Parts 15, 73 and 74 of FCC rules are related to portions of the 600 MHz band in the upcoming television spectrum auction and subsequent re-pack.
The agency had released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeking public input on the issue in June, then the Media Bureau suspended the deadlines until further notice.
Because the commission last week passed its rules governing the broadcast incentive auction and this related issue, the bureau is now establishing new comment deadlines. Comments are due to Docket 15-146 12-268 by Sept. 30.
