Comments abound on 3-2 spectrum auction vote


FCCIn response to the FCC’s 3-2 approval vote 5/15 of the spectrum auction Report and Order on “Expanding the Economic and Innovation Opportunities of Spectrum Through Incentive Auctions”–an order that adopts key policies and rules for the broadcast television spectrum incentive auction–Republican Commissioner O’Rielly issued a Dissenting Statement, which included, “Establishing a spectrum set-aside for well-capitalized companies is so fundamentally harmful that it taints the entire Incentive Auction process”:
