Competing offer for Blago

Citadel’s WLS-AM Chicago was willing to give Rod Blagojevich a two-hour show every Sunday in exchange for quitting his day job as governor of Illinois. WLS has now been roundly one-upped by Tribune’s crosstown WGN-AM, which is prepared to offer 1PM-4PM weekdays, and include his wife in on the deal. It says Mrs. Blagojevich is currently unemployed and suggested that the governor will be soon. Adding a television angle to the whole thing is Blagojevich’s revelation on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that he had considered offering the senate seat of Barack Obama to mega-superstar Oprah Winfrey.

RBR/TVBR observation: Any day now, a traditional circus will insert itself into this mess. Us – we’d whip him into syndication into an updated version of “Let’s Make a Deal.”
