JIMMY FALLON ENCORES OUT-DELIVER ‘LATE LATE SHOW’ ORIGINALS AND THE MOSTLY ORIGINAL ‘JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE’ IN ADULTS, MEN AND WOMEN 18-49 AND ADULTS, MEN AND WOMEN 18-34

NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” has won the week of November 30-December 4 in the key late-night demographic of adults 18-49 over CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman” rebroadcasts and the ABC lineup of “Nightline” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”  Conan also delivered bigger audiences for the week than did the hour’s CBS or ABC competition in all other key demographics: adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54.

Conan generated his highest adult 18-49 rating in nine weeks (since the week of September 28-October 2).

At 12:35 a.m. ET, encore telecasts of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” delivered bigger audiences than CBS’s original “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and ABC’s mostly original “Kimmel” in the key adult 18-49 category as well as adults, men and women 18-34 and men and women 18-49.

The median age of Conan’s audience last week was 47.0, eight years younger than Letterman’s 55.1 and nine years younger than “Nightline’s” 56.4.  Conan’s audience was even younger than it was during the same week last year when he aired at 12:35 a.m. ET (49.2).  At 12:35 a.m. last week, the median age of Jimmy Fallon’s audience (44.1) was seven years younger than Ferguson’s (51.6) and Kimmel’s (52.0).

For the week of November 30-December 4, Conan’s average 1.434 million adults 18-49 outscored the 1.100 of the Letterman rebroadcasts; in total viewers, Conan’s audience of 2.675 million persons finished behind Letterman’s 3.167 million; and in adults 18-34, Conan’s 630,000 topped Letterman’s 390,000.  At 12:35 a.m. ET, Jimmy Fallon’s 742,000 adults 18-49 for the week topped Ferguson’s 686,000; in total viewers, Jimmy’s 1.276 million finished behind Ferguson’s 1.613 million; and in adults 18-34, Jimmy’s 366,000 out-delivered Ferguson’s 283,000.
