The government reported that consumer spending was up in February for the 5th straight month, which seemed to assure Wall Street traders that the recovery remains on track. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 46 points, or 0.4%, to 10,896. Broadcasting stocks were not left out.
The RBR Radio Index was up 4.545, or 1.8%, to 257.731.
The TVBR Television Index was up 3.431, or 2.3%, to 153.448.
