Country Oldies Show offers George Jones tribute

Envision Radio NetworksThis Memorial Day Weekend, Envision Radio Networks’ The Country Oldies Show is bringing together fans of country music to celebrate the “greatest voice in country music” with a free three-hour tribute to the late George Jones.


From his astounding career achievements to his memorable off-stage shenanigans, The Country Oldies Show’s hosts Steve Warren and Debbie Conner will explore and reflect on the life and music of George “The Possum” Jones beginning with his first record in 1955.

Listeners will get three hours of music spanning Jones’ 150 album career including his chart topping hits and famous duets with fellow classic country artists Johnny Paycheck, Merle Haggard and ex-wife Tammy Wynette.

The Country Oldies Show’s George Jones Tribute is available for broadcast beginning 5/22.

Started in 1994, The Country Oldies Show is America’s longest running weekly radio program featuring the greatest country hits from the 1950s to the 1980s. Host Steve Warren has been a radio personality, program director, and radio consultant for over 40 years, including WTMT, Louisville; WIRE Indianapolis; WPTR, Albany; and WHN, WNBC, WKHK, WYNY, and Sirius in New York. He is also occasionally a featured actor on TV and films as well as public speaker and author of RADIO: The Book.
