COX Radio IncCox Radio in Jacksonville is getting hold of a print and digital coupon franchise to go with its radio cluster in Jacksonville FL. And it’s getting the franchise in an all-in-the-family deal – it’s coming from Cox Target Media.

The franchise is called Valpak, and at the moment, it’s corporate-owned.

VP/GM Bill Hendrick commented, “The acquisition of Valpak of Jacksonville provides Cox Radio the perfect opportunity to cross-promote its business and extend the reach of its advertisers.”

The local Valpak GM, Ken Harrivel, will remain with the franchise and see to its day-to-day operations as he has done since 2004. Hendrich will seek to integrate it with the radio group and find useful synergies between the two operations.

“This is another example of how Valpak creates unique marketing synergies for advertisers that are unparalleled in the direct marketing industry. We are confident that this strategic partnership with a sister organization and their vast local market resources will not only prove beneficial for Valpak and Cox Radio, but for the Jacksonville business community as well,” said Todd Leiser, Valpak’s director of franchise sales.
