Equipment vendors take note: reports Cox Media Group plans to move its radio and television stations currently located in Kettering, OH into the Cox Media Building; thereby housing its entire Dayton media in one building.

WHIO-TV along with WHIO-A/FM, WHKO-FM and WZLR-FM will move into new studios at 1601 S. Main St. Dayton sometime in late 2010 or early 2011 according to Alex Taylor, Cox Group VP.

This will add 150 employees from broadcast mediums to the nearly 600 people already working in the Dayton Daily News building.

The goal is not just achieving operating efficiencies but investing in the local Cox media operations, Taylor said. “We’re going to build a new TV studio [and] a new radio studio.”
