Multimedia Cox Enterprises has received the highest score possible on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, a measure on the company’s fairness to the LGBT community, including both employees and customers.

The study measures the company’s record on employee benefits, diversity training programs and community involvement, and found Cox’s to be flawless. Cox Enterprise divisions include Cox Communications, Manheim, Cox Media Group and AutoTrader.com.

It marked the third perfect score in a row for the company. Cox noted this is just one acknowledgement of its success in promoting diversity. It says it spent $320M with minority- and women-owned businesses in 2009, and has also received recognition from DiversityInc. and AARP.
