CRS renews unemployment rate

In a bow to the tough economy, Country Radio Broadcasters last year offered a special $99 rate for CRS 2010 to unemployed broadcasters. The Unemployment Rate is being renewed for CRS 2011, to take place March 2-4, 2011 in Nashville.

Available through Friday, February 18th, CRB’s Unemployment Rate provides jobless attendees access to more than 20 educational seminars and panels, as well as all exhibits. Not included are tickets to the Music City Jam, New Faces of Country Music Show and daily luncheons.

“This special $99 rate helped out more than a few of our CRS attendees last year. Although the economy is slowly turning around, there is still a lot of uncertainty and turnover in our industry.  The CRB board felt it was appropriate to offer our Unemployment Rate again this year to help those looking for a job, and attending CRS is obviously a huge step in that effort,” said CRB Executive Director Bill Mayne.

Proof of unemployment may be subject to verification by CRB Inc. to qualify for the Unemployment Rate.
