Here’s a sneak preview into some of his thoughts.
On how radio will earn a living: “Organically, radio groups will likely diversify away from advertising over the next five years. We are already seeing this with Cumulus investing in Rdio and NASH, Radio One investing in TV1, Entercom investing in SmartReach, Salem investing in digital and Townsquare’s focus on local events and websites.”
On video bundling: “Both programmers and distributors are incented to maintain the bundle. We believe the bundle may not break but it has never been more brittle.”
