Futuri Media, which used to be called Listener Driven Radio, will provide Cumulus Media with four platforms: Listener Driven Radio, Takeover, TopicPulse social media monitoring and TopLine sales research.
Initially, the deal covers 27 Cumulus markets with others to be added over time.
Using LDR1 and Takeover, listeners can vote and control live programming or receive alerts when their favorite songs are about to play; TopicPulse is a social media measurement system for newsrooms and content producers; and TopLine is a research app for broadcast sales teams.
Cumulus SVP/Content & Programming Mike McVay said Futuri has proved to the broadcaster the company can customize “their capabilities to our individual stations’ ratings and revenue objectives.”
The social media too especially will help Cumulus maximize its audience engagement potential in our largest and most competitive markets, according to McVay.
