On October 10, Cumulus Media took a gamble by officially transitioning longtime News/Talk KGO-AM in San Francisco to a 24/7 sports wagering format.
Here’s the rub: the change in programming came nearly one month ahead of Election Day, when California voters would have their say on whether two propositions tied to the legalization of sports wagering the Golden State would become law.
While more than 50% of the voting is still to be counted, the results were resoundingly against each proposition.
