Hoping to get some early buzz for its "Gossip Girl" series from "The O.C." producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, The CW has moved the premiere a week earlier than originally planned. Gossip Girl will make its debut on Wednesday, September 19th in the 9-10 pm (ET) time slot. Returning hit "America's Top Model" will make its season debut the same day, airing 8-9 pm. Both premieres will have encore presentations on Sunday, September 23rd in those same time slots, following the premieres of "CW Now," 7:00-7:30, and "Online Nation," 7:30-8:00.

Based on the best-selling young-adult book series of the same name, Gossip Girl features an ensemble cast of new and veteran actors, including Blake Lively, from "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," and Leighton Meester, from "Surface," and focuses on the struggle for social supremacy among teens from both sides of the tracks in a posh Manhattan prep school.
