The CW’s freshman hit THE VAMPIRE DIARIES scored dramatic week-to-week gains, with increases of 32% in women 18-34 (2.5/8), 20% in adults 18-34 (1.8/6), 25% in women 18-49 (2.0/6), 23% in adults 18-49 (1.6/5), 43% in female teens (3.0/12) and 25% in total viewers (3.5 million), according to final live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Thursday, April 8, 2010. 


THE VAMPIRE DIARIES posted its best women 18-34 ratings since 2/4/10, and delivered its largest total audience and female teen performance since 2/11/10.

Competitively, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES won the 8:00-9:00p.m. hour among females 12-34 (2.6/9) and female teens.  VAMPIRE DIARIES tied for second among women 18-34.
 
SUPERNATURAL scared up some strong women ratings last night, as the show posted its best women 18-34 (1.4/4) ratings since 2/4/10, and best women 18-49 (1.3/4) performance since 1/28/10.
 
SUPERNATURAL improved week-to-week by 17% in women 18-34, 18% in women 18-49 and 17% in viewers (2.8mil).
