Dana Mills replacing Amy Holmes on America's Morning News (audio)

Yet another award-winning news anchor added to Talk Radio Network Entertainment news stable.  Dana Mills is replacing Amy Holmes as John McCaslin’s Co-Anchor on “America’s Morning News,” their daily news offering co-produced with The Washington Times.  She’s also co-anchoring “America’s Radio News Network 3-6 p.m. ET, with Ernie Brown, as we recently reported.

RBR-TVBR asked Mark Masters, CEO of Talk Radio Network Entertainment, about the level of growth he’s seeing with both America’s Morning News and America’s Radio News Network. It’s pretty impressive – take a listen from the player at the top of this story.

Mills is an experienced journalist with plenty of drive time news anchoring experience.  Her first experience in anchoring a news broadcast was in Denver, where she joined two sister affiliates news teams.  She quickly became the news anchor for one of the top rated stations in the market.  Denver’s news team was led by News Director, Phil Boyce, now is the President of Programming for Talk Radio Network Entertainment, AMN’s syndicator. Mills’ and Boyce’s news team won the honor of Best Radio News Team in America, from The Radio Television News Directors Association.

Mills jumped to anchoring news on the #1 station in Detroit, where she anchored afternoon newscasts for some time before hosting an afternoon drive time news program.  She later was news anchor on CBS Radio’s WOMC-FM where she teamed up with legendary Detroit morning man Dick Purtan to become part of an ensemble morning drive radio program.  She remained in Detroit for over 14 years and was part of the morning team up until 2008.
