This week on “Dancing with the Stars,” the competition gets twice as tough as the six remaining couples perform two dances. Each couple will perform a dance they’ve not yet done in the competition, including the Quickstep, The Viennese Waltz, the Waltz or the Argentine Tango. They’ll then team up with their competitors in the Cha Cha Challenge, when Team GaGa’s Pam & Damian, Cheryl & Chad and Nicole & Derek, dancing to Lady GaGa’s “Telephone,” go toe-to-toe with Team Madonna’s Evan & Anna, Niecy & Louis and Erin and Maks, performing to Madonna’s “Holiday,” in a 90-minute show, MONDAY, MAY 3 (8:00-9:30 p.m., ET) on ABC. (“Episode 1007/1007A)

The next night, the sixth couple to be eliminated this season will be sent home on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, MAY 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). Performing two of their biggest chart-toppers will be the multi-platinum selling band “Train.” The band, who have seen three of their albums reach the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart and have sold more than 4 million albums in the U.S., will play their Grammy Award-winning megahit, “Drops of Jupiter,” accompanied by pros Karina Smirnoff and Louis Van Amstel on the dance floor. They will also perform their newest single, “Hey, Soul Sister,” from their “Save Me, San Francisco” album on Columbia Records, and will be accompanied on the floor by pros Mark Ballas, Chelsie Hightower, Dmitry Chaplin, Lacey Schwimmer, Toni Dovolani and Cheryl Burke. This single has been certified RIAA Double Platinum (selling more than 2 million copies) and soared up the Billboard charts, peaking at #6 on the Hot 100 chart, #1 on the Adult Top 40 Chart and #1 on iTunes.

This week’s Macy’s “Stars of Dance” performance features “Viva ELVIS by Cirque du Soleil,” with a medley of Elvis Presley’s iconic hits “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Heartbreak Hotel.” Cirque du Soleil, in partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises, a CKX, Inc company, celebrates Elvis Presley with a harmonious fusion of dance, acrobatics and live music. Created in the image of The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll – powerful, sexy, truly unique and larger than life – the show highlights an American icon who transformed popular music and whose image embodies the freedom, excitement and turbulence of his era. In paying homage to the music of Elvis, Cirque du Soleil set out to present the songs of The King of Rock ’n’ Roll in a contemporary form that evokes the spirit of Elvis in every way. Thirty of Elvis’ songs are used in the production, with remixes designed to accentuate and boost the emotional charge of his performances. Elvis’ voice is the only male singing voice in Viva Elvis, joined occasionally by live female singers and an energetic live band. For the first time in over 30 years, Elvis fans and music-lovers alike are able to hear his voice in its true and fantastic form – live and on stage in Las Vegas at ARIA Resort & Casino.

Once again improving its new earlier 8:00 p.m. time period against Fox’s “American Idol,” ABC’s “DWTS the Results Show” outdrew NBC’s “Biggest Loser” in the hour by 5.9 million viewers (12.2 million vs. 6.3 million) and tied the NBC time period veteran among Adults 18-49 (2.3/7).  ABC’s most recent star of “The Bachelor,” Jake Pavelka, was the 5th celebrity dancer eliminated from the contest this season.

• The dancing results program generated huge year-to-year gains in the hour for ABC over the year-ago night with original programming, boosting the slot by +8.9 million viewers and +130% in Adults 18-49 (3.3 million and 1.0/3 with originals of “According to Jim”).  In fact on average among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, “DWTS the Results Show” is delivering ABC’s best numbers in the time period against American Idol in 7 years – since 2003.
