Platinum Selling Disney Channel Star Selena Gomez and Rock Sensations OneRepublic Set to Perform.

On Tuesday night, Disney Channel star Selena Gomez & The Scene will perform their newest single, “Who Says,” accompanied on the floor by series pros Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower. Also this week, rock sensations OneRepublic will play their smash hit “All the Right Moves” with the “Dancing with the Stars” Dance Troupe in the ballroom. The band will also play their newest release, “Good Life,” with series pro dancers Dmitry Chaplin and Lacey Schwimmer on the floor.

Platinum-selling Disney Channel star Selena Gomez and her band “The Scene” recently launched their new single, “Who Says,” from the upcoming Hollywood Records album, to be released this summer. The video for “Who Says,” which was helmed by award-winning director Chris Applebaum (Rihanna, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey), premiered on Disney Channel last month. “Who Says,” produced by Eman (Whitney Houston, Celine Dion) and co-written by Priscilla Renea (Cheryl Cole, Rihanna), is an up-tempo paean of self-empowerment. The song will be featured on Selena Gomez & The Scene’s third CD, on the heels of their winning this year’s People’s Choice Award for Favorite Breakout Artist. Selena and her band already have a platinum single, two No. 1 Billboard Dance Singles, and two gold-selling, top-ten debuting albums under their belt. Selena’s talent extends beyond music; she is the star of the hit Disney Channel original series “Wizards of Waverly Place” and has starred in a spate of big-screen movies, including “Ramona & Beezus” and upcoming Fox feature film “Monte Carlo” (July 1).

The smash hit rock band OneRepublic began touring in March, and their single “Secrets” remains in the Top 5 at Hot AC Radio. “Secrets” is the second single from OneRepublic’s 2009 album, “Waking Up.” A No. 1 hit on the iTunes chart in Germany, the track claimed the top spot on the iTunes Rock Chart in the U.S. in July. It is OneRepublic’s fourth Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After seven years together as a band, OneRepublic took the world by storm in 2007 with their debut release, “Dreaming Out Loud.” The album included the smash single “Apologize,” which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide, and, along with second single “Stop and Stare,” propelled the album to platinum-plus sales. Their 2009 sophomore set, “Waking Up,” has spawned two singles – “All the Right Moves” and “Secrets” – that have topped the radio charts and sold more than 3.4 million units to date. “Good Life” is their newest release from “Waking Up.”

Hosted by Tom Bergeron (“America’s Funniest Home Videos”) and Brooke Burke (“Dancing with the Stars” Season Seven Champion), the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
